Chuuya (this dude) is a book spirit! It's not quite the same as just being a ghost because he's influenced by what people thought of him and his works, and also like if he dies you can just summon another 'Nakahara Chuuya' and he won't remember any of this Chuuya's shit. He is definitely super tsundere bad with emotional honesty. ...He also is kind of a bully but like, not a murderer, just the type to pick on people who are easy targets and he knows aren't saints anyway.

ALSO I'm sorry about the edits but - this isn't really an 'I hurt people I loved' type of backstory but he definitely has issues about losing his children and blames himself for their deaths even though like, dude, tuberculosis.

Suga (gemuinemanagement) is a human being but he also has worked extensively with night glowstone, a gem used for protection against spirits, to the point where he smells of it - so basically if she gets angry or violent around him he'll start to smell really bad and weaker spirits will probably feel like it's not worth it to stick around and they should go bother someone else. He has a tragic backstory of both those kinds! When he was a child his best friend, Shiori, ended up making a deal with the Kotori Obake (vengeful ghost, usually targets children) for her not to hurt him, and Suga made a deal immediately afterwards with the Kotori Obake for her not to kill Shiori right away (this is how he lost his voice - he smelled like night glowstone so the Kotori Obake didn't want his body, but she took his voice as payment). Then Shiori had to have her memories wiped and move away from their village for their own safety :> And Suga, who'd become an orphan with no family at that point, ended up taking over the museum that stands between the village and the ghost-infested forest and is still trying to keep everyone safe even though barely anyone believes that the ghosts exist now, and he has no friends and almost everyone thinks of him as weird or creepy :>>>
