YEAH I. betrayed by his country + Vague Guilt Issues + assorted Gifts etc means he does have her attention! Plus the thing with how he handles restlessness etc by getting into fights and a few other smaller things; mostly what gets her attention is "people like her," but since listing literally all the ways that's possible is hard I just went for the big ones to cover OCs/characters I don't know :')
