PING SURVEY/PERMISSIONS

Goodness it's been a while since I've had to do one of these. Anyway, Kaiko gets some pretty specific pings that are not always easy for me as a player to work out, so if you plan on tagging her filling this out would be doing me a huge favor— particularly if you're not playing someone I can wiki or whatever!

If your character is a ghost or other kind of undead, artificial in some way (mechanical or biological. cyborgs also count), full of VENGEANCE or just unfairly wronged in general, bad at emotional honesty with themselves, or has a tragic backstory of the I HURT PEOPLE I LOOOOVED/shunned by the people around me type, let me know please! You don't have to go into detail; Kaiko is a baby so her ability to actually tell pings apart is next to nonexistent. They all just sort of strike her as "hey this person has something interesting going on!"

(If you want to go on for a while about what's up with your character anyway, though, I am not stopping you. I love juicy details, give them to me.)

ALTERNATELY: If your character has a history of murder or hurting other people for shitty reasons (enjoyment, making themselves feel powerful, etc.), particularly if it was tied up in other types of crime (theft, extortion, sexual assault, etc.), that is an entirely separate ping that will get her attention fast, though she won't necessarily do anything about it she isn't provoked. (Of course, if you would in fact like her to do something about it, give me a list of their crimes and we can work something out :)) Or, if you don't want her to noticing that your character has done unpleasant things, let me know! I don't want to ruin anybody's fun.

SHE'D MOSTLY JUST READ HER AS A CURSE + GOD PINGS but she can't really smell specifics, just "oh that's bad juju" and "oh I think that's a god?"

but she also is an idiot who doesn't care and will pick up the cursed god corpse and carry her off to grandma at her because Naeva got no chill only grandma

• He's undead! Technically he's a lich, with his soul/life force/essence/whatever attached to a giant robot, but said giant robot isn't here because he's TECHNICALLY APPABLE but doesn't have quite enough of a personality for it to ever happen. Sighs. SIGHS!!! Not that he remembers Ordine yet, anyway.

• He doesn't remember being full of vengeance yet but OH BOY WILL HE!!!!! It isn't really in the "unfairly wronged" category, but there's a lot of bitterness at the man directly responsible for the annexation of his homeland and his grandfather's decline in health/death due to his own depression over the whole situation.

And by "full of vengeance," I mean "he spent three years wandering around letting anger fester inside of him until he found a rich backer and spent ANOTHER three years forming a terrorist group and proceeding to incite the country to the brink of civil war before shooting the motherfucker in the chest."

(Sadly, this was not as fatal as it first seemed.)

• He's not bad at emotional honesty with HIMSELF. Just. Everybody else.

• He doesn't tend to try and hurt/kill people for his own satisfaction or to make himself feel powerful or any other thing, but he also doesn't regret trying to hurt people very often.

WELL, IT'S NOT LIKE HE ISN'T USED TO PEOPLE USING HIM FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT did I mention that when he became a lich, his memory was repressed for an entire year along with his personality because his personality was inconvenient and the people who brought him back wanted to use him as a puppet?

Also, that whole thing with the rich backer literally just using Crow's desire for vengeance as a tool for his own plotting and scheming.

SO YEAH. HE IS USED TO BEING MANIPULATED INTO BEING SOMEONE ELSE'S ENTERTAINMENT or he will be as he gets those memories back whoops.

tbh it's less her doing the manipulating and more... I guess seeing whether they're capable of being manipulated into becoming someone who "deserves" her hauntmurdering them? Which is a little subjective because manipulation registers differently to her than coercion does in terms of who is then responsible for the crimes/sins that get her attention but. being used like that def gets a lot more points in his favor so she probably won't be outright mean in terms of trying to poke buttons so much as aggressively trying to get him to be aware of his own nature and what it might cost him, if that makes sense...

This is probably obvious from her profile but Millaray is a like, ghost/spiritual guardian/kinda-saint who died at sixteen. She isn't full of vengeance, but she is full of exasperation at her dumbshit friends who did a bunch of very bad things because of her death.
